Why does almost every single girl think she's fat, even if she isn't?

I mean it seems even nasty anorexic girls like Nicole Richie think there too fat. And my mom always thinks she too fat, so she won't eat nothing for days at a time, and takes weight loss pills. And almost the same way with my girlfriend, she thinks she is fat, I always tell her "you look perfectly fine the way you are" or "your not fat" and she isn't. Why do they all think there so horribly over weight, even when there not? And it seems like they think the skinner they can get, the hotter they are or something like that, when in fact most skinny girls aren't very hot. I think girls that are in the middle look the best. Not fat, but not skinny. I mean do any of you guys out there get tired of your g/f complaining about her weight? I sure do.

1.Because they usually r more insecure and/or r nervous and don't want to seem too obvious and eager. 2.I would bet because sociaty tells girls that thats the way it is and they subconcously beleave it. 3.(What???) 4.Because they think that every man/boy wants them, and then they got cocky just like a shallow jock, they think that no matter how they treat u, u will still want her no matter what, even though she is a waist of time. 5.I don't know! Maybe because girls have more of an advantage to make themselves look better, while boys don't:) 6.I don't know about u, but i checkout all the guys! (im 13:)

I think it is because the womens fashions make her think that way. I don't like to see young women with zero flesh I mean if they get sick there is no reserve to fall back on. Girls as young as 5 and 6 are dieting these days. It's terrible. Maybe its up to the fathers of these girls to convince them that they look fine...

You must have a self image problem which could affect the way you look at yourself or maybe your fatter then what you want to be. Everyone tells me i'm skinny but I want to lose weight and i still think I'm fatter then i want to be. I'm always dieting and have a love hate relationship with food but alot of woman do I think!

America's Top Model, Vogue, Jane, Cosmo, Elle...should I go on? Do you see any average sized women on the covers or in the ads? Nope. They're all super small, very skinny and do not reflect what most women wake up to in the morning.

hey im skinny! (10 lbs under my normal weight actually) and i know i dont even tell people im fat. i KNOW im skinny and i take it. Girls always want to look good and there best and by the media these days no one can get perfect as that, so we get jelous and brag!

Women shoul dbe happy with who they are and men should celebrate that with them!

I sometimes catch myself grupping about m weight - but I wish I didn't - if I ever have a baby girl - I need to STOP complaining and start loving myself!

They just want your honest opinion and they want reassurance that they aren't. They are REALLY insecure about the way they look. Look into your girlfriend's eyes, tell her what you honestly think, and hug her meaningfully and that might get the message across to her.

i don't know, i don't think i'm fat, and i hate other girls who whine about that kind of stuff. i think they just want attention and to be told that they look great. some women take it too far and get eating disorders, i don't understand it either.
