I used to have the same problem, my eyeliner used to smear a lot and I looked like a racoon. So I tried Revlon's Colorstay 12 hour eyeliner and haven't had a smudge at all. Goes on smooth. It more smoother than a pencil, so even when you sharpen it and put it on, it doesn't feel like you're poking your eye out.

I had the same problem. Nothing works! Get permanent eyeliner tattooed on. I know this sounds scary but it's actually pretty simple and painless if the artist knows what he/she is doing. Now I always look like I have eyeliner on. It's great. You can pick the color you want. Make sure you pick something that looks natural.

Are you putting it on the inside of the lid?
Apply eyeliner to 2/3 of the upper lid and 1/3 of the lower, as close to the lashline as possible.

Biotherm liquid absolutely will not smear off, and it comes in some cool and funky colors which are beautiful, as well as traditional ones. Plus, its only $13.00. Careful not to get it in your lashes though..it will want to gunk-up there, if you do.

Another idea is to "imbed" eye shadow in the liner. This will "set" it...like powder sets your base.

I use primer, Bare Escentuals shadow liner - dry or w/eye drops, which makes a liquid liner and has to be blasted off. I am the queen of oily eyelids.

I like the Bourgeois (spelling?) liner. Putting powder below your eyes before you put on the liner, then wiping it off as it smears is really helpful.

I used to have that problem and I have tried everything and nothing worked. And then I found Bobbi Brown eye gel. This stuff works so I have stopped looking.

Maybelline has an eyeliner called 'Unstoppable'. It is a waterproof and smudgeproof eyeliner designed to last all day. It is also hypoallergenic.

go to a high end makeup counter like lancome or clinique and they'll help you find a primer or other product that you'll apply before the eyeliner to keep it from running.

Buy an eyeshadow primer (like Urban Decay's Primer Potion) and everything you put on your eyes will stay on the whole day.
