BUT WHY did you say you BELIEVE it is infested with mold?

I sure as heck would not call anyone else until I was DEAD sure it was INFESTED with mold as you say.

Infested would be pretty obvious.

Why do you think it is INFESTED as you say? Is there a moisture problem? Is there mold growing visually on the walls or other surfaces?

Mold is ubiquitous and found EVERYWHERE in nature. Some people will not have ANY reaction to almost any type of mold while others may have serious reactions to the most common and usually benign otherwise molds. It triggers allergic reactions in many people.

If you are saying it is full of mold because you have allergy symptoms that you can not specify you can get an air monitoring test for little to nothing.

They should monitor the air outside AND the air inside. If the mold spore count is exceptionally higher than outside then you might have a problem. Otherwise, remember there is mold EVERYWHERE and it is the difference between spore counts inside and outside that counts for getting someone to clean it up.

contact your land lord. it's required in all states that they pay for the cleaning up of the mold if they do not do it you can look up renters associations and the like online that will help you fix the problem with them. I don't know about texas but i know in arizona if you have a problem and they don't fix it and you send them a letter stating that if they do not fix the problem within ten days and they don't fix the problem you can legally break youre lease without having to pay any fines or anything of the sort.

Your landlord would be the first person I would contact,or have someone come check it out for ya,and give the landlord the bill,or have them take it off your rent.......that can be a pretty dangerous situation,it can also make you very sick.....if the person you are renting from doesn't comply with your wishes,contact your local courthouse,and maybe someone there can lead you in the right direction..........good luck.................
