Just to be listened to and taken in by another... need. to feel worthy, to feel counted as adequate? I am.

yes me too, that's why I sit and answer questions because occasionally someone emails to say thanks for helping and it makes me feel good

Yes, I feel that it is normal to want to be accepted; I mean, everybody wants to be loved or at least liked. On the other hand,
some may say that if it is a deep craving where you get yourself in bad situations just to "feel worthy" or to feel "adequate" that it is the person trying to fill some void like he/she was abused, or was like a misfit

Only by my need to be alone in my thoughts every once in a while. Too much drawn out social interaction with people makes me anxious if I can't go off to a back room or something for a while and chill out. My whole immediate family is the same way.

No, I do not crave attention, quite the opposite. I don't like attention. As far as acceptance, I really don't care one way or the other. I am what I am, can't and won't change it, and people can like it or not. Makes me no difference.
