Hi, I got to be honest with you. I don't think that's a good idea, especially when we live in a world were our identity is affected. Usually, most check cashing places what to see your id and other verification to prove your identity. Your brother will have to do it himself. I cash my own check when I was 16 at a cash checking place or he could just go to the bank that his job uses. I hope this helps.

I don't know what will happen to your brother but that is fraud and fraud if he were prosecuted is serious. Doing that is going to take 200 extra dollars out of your aunt's account, possibly cause her to have an overdraft fee. This will mean she will have to pay the 225 and then a fee on top of that. If she is unable to pay there are additional fee's that will continue to post. If it was a check, and it comes out of her account HE WILL GET CAUGHT, she will know that there is 200 missing.

Have him go with you. Just becuase you have his ID/signature doesn't mean much.

If he has a bank account (you can have those at 16!) have him write "for deposit only" on the back with his account #, and you can go drop it off. Then he can use his ATm.

If you have a bank account, he can write "pay to: NAME" on the back and you can deposit it in your account-- but beware, if its a fraudulant check, the money will be 'reversed' and deducted from YOUR account.

if he has a id he will need to go with you...or you can cash the check at your bank...have him sign his name, and write payable to you and then you can deposit it and give him the cash
