New York just had 2 feet of snow in October, Hawaii is
having earthquakes & Texas is flooding.
Pics of the polar ice caps show them shrinking & the polar
bear population is declining.
But, I guess only hurricanes would make them think
twice about it. Very sad.

I think you've identified the wrong target group. Judging from what I read here, I'd say that educated people tend to accept scientific conclusions, while the uneducated are swayed by myth, rumor and superstition. Educated people tend to be well-informed, so they are aware of melting glaciers and icecaps, worldwide temperature increases, rising water levels and other evidence of climate change.

The phenomenon may be too frightening for the uneducated to accept, so they prefer to subscribe to the position that it's some kind of political myth. Why? Beats me. I fail to understand why anyone would attempt to perpetrate a myth of this magnitude for political (or any other) purpose. Anyway, the evidence is out there at the click of a mouse. Al Gore didn't invent it. The earth is gettng warmer. I wouldn't advise investing in a beach house in the next 50 years.

I find to it hard to believe the same scientists that told us about 15 years ago that we were going into global cooling and a new ice age was coming. The same scientists that saying Florida was going to be blown off the face of the map this year from hurricanes. The same scientists that said we'd have a cure for this and that. The same bunch that when the population reach 200 million in the US we'd be out of resourses and living in the dark. Science has a place and make great strides in advancement but once they enter the politcal world and politicos tug the purse strings reality goes out the window.

Wow lots of ignorance on this topic I can see as promulgated by the politicians so their campaign contributors will keep the money flowing. Read the definitive report linked below which comprehensively reviewed more than 900 scientific papers published recently. Their conclusion is;

"This analysis shows that scientists publishing in the peer-reviewed literature agree with IPCC, the National Academy of Sciences, and the public statements of their professional societies. Politicians, economists, journalists, and others may have the impression of confusion, disagreement, or discord among climate scientists, but that impression is incorrect."

Don't wanna read it cause it would cost their constituents too much money to repair.

It's a Democratic idea put forth by Al Gore, among others.

They read the "Whitehouse edited" version of the most comprehensive paper on the subject, written by the foremost expert and then came to a conclusion.

I don't believe that it is as severe as some liberals make it out to be, because there is also eveidence in the direction that the "global warming" trend is part of the natural ups and downs of our planet's climate. (Ice age, Warming, Drought, etc)

A neocon is a former Democrat and is a moderate. It would really help your side if you and the other democrat sheep actually learned the definition of the words that you use. remember, words have meaning.

overwelming? Kinda sorta. It is happening but we don't know the cause. No scientist has come out and said it is only from human involvement. Sorry that I have to disagree with you on that one...
