are they dangerous? why are we scared of them?

thru the cracks and crevices. they can also come in via ur clothes or via ur pet. to stop them u probably need to get ortho home defense--home depot i think most spiders aren't dangerous least of all those little gray house spiders. why r we afraid of them, probably from fairy tales our parents told us.

If I had the answer to this one, i would be very rich!
My husband is terrified of them, we were watching the Da Vinci Code this evening and he suddenly shot out of the chair and ran out into the garden in the rain. I didnt even have to ask, I just looked around, saw the offending arachnid and squished it.
The only way i try and help keep them away is by making sure that when I hoover, I go into every corner, nook and cranny, hoover all around the corners etc to get rid of any webs and hope for the best.

Holy Toledo batman. . .I am right there with you. I am terrified of spiders that are in my home and on my walls. They seem to favor my closet and my kids' rooms. hm-mm? dirty with toys??? lol
Spiders, just like people, want to either escape the heat or the cold. They will go wherever they can to do so. And your home is perrrrfect! If I see a spider in my house, he is dead, sorry. If he is outside and near me, I let him live. Who am I to kill a little or BIG guy while he is in his own "native" space?
So. . .why are we scared? Cuz our older brothers tormented us with stories of spiders getting us, and spiders love our homes cuz they want to be cozy too. :)~

You should buy one of those sonic vibration things - apparantly they drive the Spiders away/stop them from coming inside in the first place!

they get in allsorts of ways. there not dangerouse around here but they can crawl into your mouth while your asleep!!! or in some cases into your ears. i heard lemon essence keeps them away, i used an oil burner with the essence and haven had as many spiders since

They get in through gaps in door and windows.You will never stop them getting in.So why not make them welcome,call them by a name eg (Harry)treat them like a pet,We started doing this because my daughter and I used to scream when we saw one,but I could not kill them.Now we just watch them its quite fun really.Try it.

Spray your home with citronella oil diluted in water.
Spiders taste through their feet and do not like citrus.
