try some black and ivory shoes or just a black sling back accent it with a red clutch and a red bulky beaded necklace

Like you said, black or ivory shoes would naturally go well with the dress, but another option is a nude-color shoe that sort of matches your leg. Shoes that match your skin tone create an optical illusion of longer legs. Another idea I had was silver strappy sandals paired with silver accessories. I really feel that high-heeled shoes, preferably open-toed, would best offset the dress, but if you'd rather not do high heels, you could dress it down a little and look for a wedge-heeled or platform pump. Please try to go with heels, though. You'll look SO much more elegant!

Since the dress is fairly basic, i.e. no sequins or bold patterns, find a great shoe that really stands out. I would also get some kind of fabric, not a leather, shoe.
If you stick with one of the dress colors, go with black; it's more classy. Then add some glitz and glamor with rhinestones, sequins, or something. Maybe something strappy or an open toe since the dress is flirty.

If you wanted to add color, stick with bold, vibrant colors. I would use red, espicially since it's such a hot color right now, but any bright color could work. Remember, black and white and red is the sinlge most classy and elegant color combo.

Maybe a black and red shoe to match the dress, and stand out at the same time.

Then find a great purse to carry to complement the shoes.
If it was me, I would go with the strappy red sandals listed above, and a red satin clutch, maybe with some gold accent to match the charm.

A strappy heel in black with maybe some crystals if you wish. BTW, love the dress - very simple and classy (good choice). The vertical stripe will make the eyes go up and down so play up your legs and strut your stuff!

Red heels!! Red heels completely pop the outfit and it is very mod with the style of your dress. Try these steve maddens - patent leather (hot this season) pumps http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/19169512/c/1141.html
or peep toe

No need to match your bag - a black one is fine. Throw on some red lip gloss and perfection. Have fun.

Actually, I would go with a fleshtoned shoe or sandal. That way, it appears as if you're dancing on your toes all night and not tied to the ground with black weights. It will also elongate the line of your legs...that's a bonus!

Very nice dress dear! I think that some chunky soled shoes would look good with it. I would stick to black and white though.

The footwear will stick out in form of an obtrusive way. A hairpin basically isn't sufficient to tie the black footwear in to the look. you would be waiting to get away with black footwear in case you upload a black sash to the gown.
