While everyone else is right that there are 3 feet in a yard, a lot of math problems actually ask about "SQUARE yards". A trick that sometimes throws people is that there are 9 (3 x 3) square feet in a square yard.

Don't you have a math book to find that information? You need to learn how to look up those things in a book rather than just have someone tell you. Be a student!

You could've looked that up online quite easily...and it's "feet" (plural)...

You'll get more out of learning when you do your own research...it'll stick with you better and serve you more in the long run, instead of asking people to spoon feed you the answers (and hoping they are correct)...
