45 min ago I ordered pizzas for my HUNGRY kids for supper......from papa johns they should be here any minute but get this they are calling me now to tell me that they no longer accept checks and i told them they would be here before I made it to n fro the bank.......they changed ownership....is that dumb or what my order is 45 min ago.....wtf am I supposed to feed my kids now.....has this happened to anyone else w them?

yes, and was I furious, we ate, left the tip and THEN only then did they say -we do not accept personal checks, said, well I guess we ate for free, show me a sign that's its posted, said no, they just started it, twit said -we'll call the cops, I said, oh please do-they did, well tell ya sister, they ended up taking a check from me and the manager tried giving me a free coupon thing. If I was you, I'd be on that phone, no cussing, they love that, just be firm and stand your ground, they were wrong not telling you when you placed the order, if too late for that-call manager around 10.30 in the morning and make them do right

If they waited that long to notify you I'd inform the driver either he/she can accept a check or they can lose the sale. They should have stated this when you called the order in. The pizzas will have to be trashed. I think they would take a chance on a check in this case.

I have never heard of that happening before.
They should have mentioned the check thing when you called.
All you can do is order something else somewhere that takes checks.

that's a very bad customer service issue...they should have informed you when you ordered. i would definitely say something to the manager of the location you ordered from, and let them know that you are going to complain to their corporate/franchise office, and do it. (info is online). all of our time is valuable, and they just wasted yours. good luck with this.
