No. The sun isn't supposed to "die" for another 5 billion years. Or was it 5 million? Well, either way, you won't be alive for that many years. Unless tomorow they come up with some life living thingy.

I tremendously doubt it anymore. The Mayan calender is the main precise thus far, even though it being top isn't likely.we've approximately yet another 5 million,or maybe billion years in the past the solar is going loopy. At that ingredient,it quite is going to engulf the planet,or in simple terms die out and Earth turns right into a chilly ineffective rock.So we've a mutually as till all of us know whats going to ensue. If we are nevertheless alive by utilising the tip of 2012,then we are high-quality for yet another million or billion years, except all of us die in a nuclear conflict or from a zombie apcolypse.

Sounds like you misunderstood or got bad information.
There is an astronomical alignment on 12-21-2012 that to the Maya signified the sun being REBORN (not dying) and it's SYMBOLIC not literal. This is tied into the so-called "end date" of the Mayan calendar (which is not an end either).

Either the video is wrong or you are wrong. Our sun is relatively new and has several billions of years left in its existence. Sounds like it was a wacko environmentalist show about how America is ruining the sun or something; just like Al Gores environmental movie.

They don't know if it will rain tomorrow. There is no way they can know anything this specific. The sun is expected to last for billions more years.
If you don't believe me check out this link: http://curious.astro.cornell.edu/question.php?number=232
The key section is "When the Sun runs out of hydrogen in its core completely (which won't be for another 5 billion years or so)..."

I believe I heard that the sun is middle aged, so we have millions if not billions of years left.

No, it has another five billion years before it basically explodes. All the inner planets (mercury, venus, earth, and mars) will go with it.
