They ended it because they had the movie all planed out.(Ed dies in the last epi and and i cried my eyes out.until Al came to save the day! XD) anyways have you seen the movie? it's basicly the whole thing ending, I guess thats what the creator thinks.Watch the movie for free at the website here .It's in japanese with subtitles
