I know this sounds really cheesy and all, but i need help.

My friends is having this SUPER fun party at the mall. My mom wont let me go because I have to go on this gay Bid Brothers Big Sisters hayride. It's the same exact time too, so I can't even arrive late to the party. My mom keeps saying " You made a commitment and you cant back down just because something better comes along." She didn't even ask me if I wanted to go or not! She just signed me up. So I didn't commit to anything. I try telling her that and she doesn't care. Please help. Thanks.

I agree...there will be so many more parties, but the difference it will make to the child you help will last a lifetime.

Do ask your Mom to consider your schedule before responding to such invitations. Then you can avoid this in the future.

Go to the hayride, have fun, and meet your friends later.

Good Luck!

If you made the commitment, of course you should keep it! Of course we have no way of knowing! It almost sounds as if your mom may have mention it to you and you indicated it would be fun and she signed you up for it. If this is the case, yes you did commit!

As an adult what ever comes out of your mouth is a commitment! It's also a promise! As a child you have to state that it is a promise, as an adult, if you speak it, it is a promise!

there Will be many parties - but a commitment has been made to some poor kid and you just can't let him or her down - you just can't. that would be really bad karma - please do it for the kid. I know if you do the right thing you will be amply rewarded

well you can try to make sure your parents try harder to ask you instead of just assuming what you want to do or what they want you to do from now on not sure there is a way out of it though

You must take responsibility for your comments. That is part of maturing into an adult.
