Did you hear about the new catholic curriculum in California public schools?

The kids will be studying the Roman Catholic religion. As part of the lesson plans, they'll take the names of Catholic saints as is done in the Catholic Sacrament of Baptism. In addition, the youngsters will recite Catholic prayers in class and will read and memorize passages of the New Testament from the Catholic Bible.

The boys and girls will also learn about the priesthood and the convent. They'll wear priest's clothing and the traditional gowns and headdresses of nuns.

To better understand Catholic traditions, they'll stage mock confessions and Masses. To learn about the traditions of Lent, student's will ''give up'' some favored thing or food and they'll also fast to better understand that part of Catholic practice and ritual.

Of course you didn't, because it's not true. What is true is the above curriculum was done with Islam, supported by the same liberal idiots that hate Christianity.

Very well put. What is with the religion in public schools. It's an abomination. Why do our American children Need to understand Islam. They should be taught a few things about Americans first.

Great post! It is important to remember that public schools in the US were originally designed to teach religion, Protestantism. Now days they still teach religion, that of secularism, which is all this is.

Teaching Islam in public schools would be useful if they would actually teach what Islam is and not this pc westernized version that the left thinks is Islam but you cannot find in reality. Instead we get "lets play dress up".

Okay, that caught my eye. I wish it were true with Catholicism. I wish it were true with ALL religions. That would be freedom of religion, giving students all options. No religion=atheisism
