My husband has a recurring sore on the bottom side at the tip. He first tried telling me he accidently got it caught in the zipper, and now is trying to say it's because he masurbates. We haven't had sex too often because I just gave birth to our daughter, and I'm concerned he might have a health issue. I just had a full pelvic at my 2 month post-pregnancy checkup and everything came back fine, so what can this be?

It's on the underside of the shaft, and it's more like really dry skin, not like an oozing sore or anything.

precome is dribbling out and down to where you say, and that softens the skin, then he jacks off without lube and rubs the top layer or 2 of skin off. tell him to stop masturbating until it heals completely, then get him a bottle of astrolube, but in a pinch vegetable oil or canola oil works too.
On second thought, why don't you offer him (lubed) handjobs? I'm sure you're aware guys have needs. Tell him you don't want him masturbating anymore and you'd LIKE to do it for him whenever he wants, but not until it's completely healed. if you're seeing it as dry skin, it's most of the way healed. don't start until it's gone completely though.

Yes, it is more than just possible!

In my case it has happened on a few occasions, mainly once when I was like 14 and over-masturbated (15 times) in a 48 hour period, and then later in life when I had partners that just didn't realise how sensitive that part of the body really is; "dry humping" with a woman in jeans was such a situation, and of course, HJs performed with TOO much vogor and not enough lubrication.

You can use non-scentewd (i.e. NO perfume!) hand/skin lotion for sensitive skin, such as Jergen's for example, but be certain there's no perfume of any kind in there! That should help clear out the dryness!

Men can get sores or tears there from the two reasons he gave: getting the penis caught in their zipper and by masturbating.

If you two have not been having sex on a regular basis, he probably is masturbating a lot. Don't embarrass him but let him know that he should be using some kind of lubricant when he does it, even lotion. He can also masturbate in the shower and use soap suds as a lubricant.

Once a man has a tear down there, especially on his glans (head of his penis) it generally takes a few days for it to heal. He probably is masturbating daily without allowing the injury to heal properly. The truth of the matter: He has to stop masturbating for a few days to allow the skin on his penis to fill in and heal. That's going to be tough for a guy who is married, used to having sex on a regular basis, and now masturbating on a regular basis, but it will have to be done. What he might try to aid in the healing is to seal the tear with a dab of vasoline. Lotion at this point (when the sore or tear is still open) will sting his injury.

I hope this helps the poor guy.

Heck yea he can get chafed from masturbation. Aggressive rubbing is often the cause of irritated skin. Get him to start using a penis health creme daily and he should get relief within a few days. A good creme will contain vitamins and nutrients and will help with other issues down there as well.

I would think a person could but would depend on how much but alot of men have a mositure problem I mean they can get chaffe or even like a jock itch, doesn't necessarily mean he has been masturbating and even if he was most men or should i say all men do and there is nothing abnormal about it I would say it would be more abnormal if he didn't!

Well I think he is the one that should be getting checked.
anything that is "reoccurring" sounds like a problem.
Chafing can occur during masturbation or during sex. The fact that's its reoccurring is what I would be checking into if I were you as well as him.
Make him go to the Dr...you go with him..
Sounds fishy to me....just my gut.

Chafing can occur if the man doesn't use a lubricant, however it ordinarily occurs on the shaft, not the head. If he has a sore on the head of his penis, suggest you insist that he be tested. The first thing that comes to mind is herpes. Herpes can be transmitted from mouth sores to the genitals, and if he had a cold sore, he could have given it to himself, so don't jump to conclusions, but if it were me, I would insist he be tested.

It can be from masturbating. ALL men do it, usually at least once a day. Don't make him feel bad, because it's so normal! Buy him a bottle of mineral oil. Honestly, he'll love it and if you're game you might have fun helping him use it!

I think he should see a doctor about it as masturbation can't cause such problems
