I'm 21 1/2 weeks and will find out the sex this friday. Those are the names my husband really like so far, what do you think? I like Kaitlyn because she can be called Katie for short.

I think kaitlyns a pretty name, so is katie. But honestly, they are so plain... i like interesting names like Audrey, Heidi, Holly Autumn, Jasmine... why not give your little girl a name she can flaunt?

Kaitlyn/Katie are wayyyy too common for me. Patrick is nice, but not my favorite.

If I had a dollar for every "Katie" I knew--I'd be rich. I think the names are a bit dull and overused. Trust me, I know what it's like to have an extremely common name. I had 3 girls in my class in school with the same name as me---it sucks! Just make sure that it won't be a name that you call out and 5 other "Katies" turn around. Some of my favorites are:

Liv
Rachel
Sydney
Poppy
Ellis
Gillyan

I really like both names. The only problem that I have with Kaitlyn is that it is really common, at least where I live. But I also think Katie is a cute nickname.

I love Katie...that's my girl's name. Although my husband insisted she needed a "grown-up" name in case she ever became big and important :-P So, it's Katherine Bridget. Kaitlyn is a bit too trendy for my liking, personally, but go with what you like...at least it's not one of those impossible to spell/pronounce names. :-)

I like Patrick as long as you don't mind that people are going to end up calling him Pat or Rick. (People just can't help making names into nicknames...I had a friend named Patrick, and he had to tell EVERYONE that it was PATRICK, not PAT)

I like both of the names, but Kaitlyn seems very prevalent these days. Patrick is nice too. Doesn't seem to be many Patrics in the preschool classes with my kids. Sure are a lot of Zachary and Isabella named kids running around. -Hope everything goes just like you want it to with the pregnancy! Congratulations!!!

Aww, cute names. Except I like the spelling Katelyn better. Ah well, you're the mommy. Good luck with your baby!

Patrick becomes Paddy becomes "hey Mick".

If you call him Patrick, he better be able to fight (not as bad as the English wrestler called Shirley Crabtree - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shirley_Crabtree)

How about Zack/Zachary ?
