Mark Foley is the straw that broke the camel's back. it is over for the domination of the govt by republicans. if they hold the senate and lose the house, we will be deadlocked for years and nothing will get done but that will be sort of like when they had both houses and the executive.
The wrong was the child molest thing but the republica right wing christian base will be mad that so many republicans are gay and never told them. they will hoist on their own gay hating petard.
if they lose the christians, they lose their edge and it is up for grabs again.

I'd say neither. The incident certainly won't help the general popularity of the GOP, but I think it would take allot more than that to bring the rampaging elephant down. I'll be interested to see what happens in November. It may take an overwhelming Dem. vote count to counter Republican gerrymandering, crooked voting machines, push polling and whatever other dirty tricks Rove has up his sleeve. The last two Presidential elections were rigged, why not this one? I'll vote anyway.

I think the Foley incident is what Democrats believe will be the tipping point of the election.
They're going to be surprised yet again that the majority of voters see right through the party of Gerry Studds on pedophilia.

Mark Foley is a coming up tale, the reaction to which epitomizes the knotted up priorities of those that placed "have been given ya" politics over trustworthy expressions of project for the surely victims. How very unwell, certainly. you may even say that's perverse.

There are very few votes out there. We have two firm camps in place and pretty equally split.Foley means nothing to either party's voters. Only a careless voter would vote either way based on Foley. The war, taxes, the economy,N.Korea and Iran, and immigration are my voting issues,of the 5, I am sure of one party on the 6th I wouldn't trust either one right now.

Anyone that holds a whole party responsible for 1 guy is not fit to have the vote. If I was that stupid, my Democratic Congressman would not have gotten my votes the last 3 elections.

What do you mean? Getting a little over dramatic there aren't you? A Gay guy writes suggestive emails to an 18 year old male. He gets caught and resigns. It's a gay issue. Are democrats against gays now? Is that what this is all about?

How exactly would the GOP prevail? I guess not going to jail would be a positive but. Honestly, i think it will do almost nothing to effect the election, its pre-rigged for your voting pleasure!
