Yes. Party affiliation can inspire polarization to be sure. So can religion, especially among Christian and Muslim extremists, but sometimes I think the only difference between people that really matters is the difference in financial resources.

Screw party affiliation; I'm loyal to the future of the country. At this juncture I think the die heart GOP supports are nuts to continue to line up with the Bush Administration; or Congress and the Senate. These people have done nothing but place American in harms way; with lies, scandals, thievery. We have watch as they have betrayed and divided the citizens across the nation. Look at how they abandoned the people with Katrina because the majority were Afro-Americans. Look how they handled the Faith Base; while laughing behind their backs. Look at the Mark Foley scandal and the spinning. It's sad when a party sacrifices children to retain political power. The Iraq War, Economy, and so much more means handing out Pink Slips come November 7!

Yes , the voters need to take action this Nov. and scare the crap out of both party's
There is no chance that the American people will survive this assault by Congress over the past 8 years.if continued unchecked
They've accomplished this through large campaign contributions , many lobbyists that swamp Washington and control political candidates .
Lobbyists influence and pass information between their clients and OUR elected officials .
Issues are raised by both party's to distract and divert public attention from the profound issues , like education ,immigration , higher wages and the war against radical Islamic terrorists .
Issues that affect our daily lives and the American way of life
There is something all of us could do to wake up Congress , we can change our party affiliation from Republican and Democrat to Independent , rather then not vote at all .

I'm fed up with the fact nobody is doing anything on illegal immigration. The Republicans are rallying under the douch*bag John McCain, who wants amnesty for all, and my own party, the Dems, are such b*tches that they vote for the same thing. Obviously they can't see the damage being done to our country.

I'm sick of all the ignorance and name calling I witness on a daily basis. But yes, I am fed up with both parties. No doubt about that.

Always have been. I never vote straight party ticket. Guess most voters are too lazy to research issues. I have a friend that votes democrat cause his daddy and his grand daddy voted that way. Ask him about any issue and his face goes blank.

Absolutely, I have been thinking recently how to run this country without parties, just vote for the guy who makes the most sense.
What do you think the odds of that happening would be?

Middle-class Americans don't have a chance - both parties want to take from us - republicans give to the rich & illegals, democrats to career welfare people & illegals...but, yes, we are fed up

WE get the government we deserve. WE vote for the immoral and incompetent. WE listen to campaign slogans and let ourselves be deluded.
The problem isn't politics. Politics and politicians are the RESULT of the individual voters in our country who have poor moral reasoning, critical reasoning, and judgement.
If you want to fix what's wrong in this country, don't waste your time on politics. Spend you time instead on improving the people.
