No.

Anytime you pump your precious body full of synthetic cancer-causing hormones, it is not safe.

Give your poor body a break and let it go through withdrawal for a week.

Yep. Quite safe. You don't actually have a proper period when on hormonal birth control. It's just a withdrawal bleed. There's no egg to shed along with the lining, and the lining doesn't build up the same way because it's not preparing for pregnancy. They just include a "period" to make it seem more "natural".

yes, for sure. i did it for years, and have done it for years on the pill, with my gyn's blessing. more women than you'd think do this (taking their contraception without a break).

the "period" you get when you use hormonal birth control isn't really a period. a period is when an ovulation has happened. since there was no ovulation, it is not a true period anyway.

from what i gather, the period phase it to make it feel more natural to you. i haven't had a "period" in years, though i've had some spotting here and there.

Though I've strongly considered it, I wouldn't try it. The ring probably doesn't contain enough hormone to keep you period-free anyway. My friend did it with the pill and then when she finally stopped her period wouldn't even come on at all. Scary.
