when someone reports abuse on you or the other way around it doesnt do anything........so whats is for.......

ha, I think he is talking about the 'abuse' button here on Yahoo! Answers. I believe the abuse button takes away 10 pts if it is deemed a legitimate case of abuse.

well I got reported (in violation), lost 9 points. I don't know what i did wrong and they wont't tell me. They said it wasn't a question or an answer is all they'll say. Did say that it was removed. I answered the question. They removed the hole question not just my answer. All i can figure is i was in violation for answering the question that was in violation. I was in violation by association, not cause i did anything wrong!!!! Below is what i received when i asked about my violation!!!! So u don't have to be in violation, u only have to appear to be in violation!

it will. the abuse team records all the reports and once they are feed up, watch out!

I don't know either but I feel that Yahoo should let us all know.
At the bottom of this page we can click on to Yahoo " Tell us
what you think" and maybe find out.

That's is soo wrong!! If someone is getting hurt, they should report it to somebody!! Nobody deserves that!!!
