A man that lives in the same town as me...is going to sue some town where he got in a accident at. Because they didnt have the lines in the middle of the road to divide the sides and he got into an accident(a accident with another car). because there was any lines....there was just a road. Could a person really sue the town or state for negligence? How is that even possible.
I doubt it if he will win. what is going to give that man money for that. I wouldnt.

I have 2 better ones. My neighbor was at a red light (2nd car), the guy in front of him starts to go then stops. My neighbor bumps the car. No damage not even a scratch. Two days later comes a letter from a lawyer that hes sueing because he can no longer work because of the accident. This happened on a Saturday, the guy lived 2 states away and the letter was there by Monday afternoon. The 2nd one involved my car. Parked leagally at an intersection. No one in it and theres an accident involving a small child that is killed because the father dosnt have him in a seat belt. Again a low speed accident and Im getting sued because the father said my car blocked the view of the person HE hit! They want furure wages, retirement the whole 9 yards. The best thing is my company said that the only reason I'm getting sued ios because I have more insurance than the lady this guy hit. Hows that for injustice.

I think it might depend on whether the road was through a busy, paved, downtown or on a rural, dirt road. In the former case I think the suit may be valid.

We live in a litigious society. That man is a slime that thinks that everyone owes him. He was an idiot for not driving on the right side of the road.

If your state's laws require a line down the center; & the city didn't provide one; & your state law allows suits against cities for this kind of omission, then he has a good claim.

Who knows if he'll win or not. Where I live not all the roads are painted, more of the back/side roads aren't ever painted.
