Should each family get one third, or should it be divided into halves (the wife's family gets half and the husband's family gets half...the mother/stepfather 1/4th and the father/stepmother 1/4)?

I was dating a guy whos parents were divorced and we did the half and half thing. Half with my family then 1/4 with his mom and 1/4 with his dad. it worked out well for us and for them. Depends on the holiday too and what each family has planned. Then change it up the next year or something if you want more time with the other family.

Spend Christmass with them all, you'll jusdt have to leave early to get to the other's house. That's three houses. My ex was likke that. One parent lived in Miami, and one lived in Jacksonville. Yeah it was worth it, but he got to see his people, and I got to meet the family. Now the other holidays, just divide them like your parents gets easter, and his mom gets thanksgiving, and his dad gets the birthdays, and so on and so fourth. Hope I've helped. or see if all families would come together on Christmas...that would be grand!

properly our households stay approximately 12 hours aside so we certainly won't be able to see the two on a similar day..We presently stay closer to his family contributors (using college i'm attending) so we spend Christmas and Thanksgiving with my family contributors considering that we don't get to make certain them regular (which I HATE, notably lacking my mom)..Then Fourth of July and New 12 months's we pass to his family contributors considering that they have a great events each 12 months and plus long island is extra alluring that element of 12 months..Easter isn't vast in his family contributors so because it is basically yet another clarification for me to go domicile..in certainty maximum of our trip journeys are spent with my family contributors yet we get to make certain his on a daily bases so it is in basic terms honest..

there are 4 days in the Thanksgiving weekend so just spend 1 day with each of them and you have one day left over. Same as Christmas, do C hristmas eve with one, Christmas day, then Christmas night with the others. It's really not that hard.

I think just play it by ear but otherwise that seems like a good plan

Go where you have most fun and your family like to be...life is too short to just go out of duty...
