what program could i use to control both computers at once, they both are connected to the internet through my router, mainly i want this program to just save me time so i dont have to walk from one computer to the other constently

UltraVNC allows you to do that and it's free.

If you're running XP Pro, the solution is remote desktop. (start-programs-accessories-communications-remote desktop). You can remote in to the second computer and control it just as if you were sitting at the keyboard. Without XP Pro, you'll have to use a third-party software like gotomypc, pcanywhere, etc.

Of course, with a simple, peer-to-peer network, you can access the files on the second computer, but you couldn't log on or take control.
