I'm just curious since I was hoping to sell some of my old clothes online. I want to offer free shipping, but I don't know how much I should account into the price for that.

I want the CHEAPEST route to send it, no matter how slow it is.

I know it depends on where you are sending to, but I don't have anywhere in paticular yet.

Check the USPS website. If you send it in a Flat Rate Priority Mail envelope provided by USPS, it will be $4.05 for anywhere in USA. Parcel Post will be about $3.00.
The big advantage, besides speed (about 3 to 4 days to get there vs 7 to 10 days) is that you won't have to go to the post office because your postal carrier will pick up the Priority Mail package
either where you work or at home.
Since the PM package is too large to put in my mail box, I tape the note PLEASE PICK UP PRIORITY MAIL PARCEL ON FRONT PORCH inside the mail box door. And I have a place on the porch where the carrier can see it and it stays dry in rainy weather.
It works out great and the extra buck is a lot less than driving to the post office, waiting in line, etc.
You can order free a packet of Flat Rate Priority Mail envelopes from USPS. It will take about 2 weeks to get it.
I know you can fit a Tee shirt in the envelope because I have received one that way.
