To some degree I agree. Yes, you need "strong wings" (strong support) to get over both predjudice and tradition. Look at most liberal minded people today, they get disowned by their families just because they have different opinions. And yes, unfortunatly predjudice could be a tradition, look at racism in the south from like the 1600's to like the 1960's and even today.

Firstly, tradition and prejudice could never be considered a "level plain", an uneven craggy mountain range seems more fitting.
