Do you mean 1900-1910 or the Twentieth Century? If the former, I'd say Mae West or Buster Keaton; most famous for "She Done Him Wrong" and "The General" respectively. If you mean the Twentieth Century, I'd have to say either Jeremy Brett or Alec Guiness. Brett is most famous for Granada's Sherlock Holmes series. Guiness is sadly most famous for Star Wars, although I prefer to remember him for The Ladykillers, Kind Hearts and Coronets, The Man in the White Coat, The Lavender Hill Mob....

My favorite actress from the 1900's is Mae West. She is famous for the line "It's not the men in your life that count; It's the life in your men that's important."
