I have a problem. My friend that I have know since 4th grade, hasn't been the nicest to me lately. She tells me we are best friends, but every time she finds a new friend, she acts like they are her new best friend. I want to be her friend, but it is pretty annoying. What do I do?

just stop what your doing with her and just hang out. like if you guys walk in the hallways together just walk with her and if her "new best friend" comes by and start ignoring you then ignore them and start being independant. sooner or later she's going to start to miss you.

In my experience, it is extremely difficult to find and keep a REAL friend. I would suggest that you not revolve your life around her, keep in touch and let her know you are around, but don't invest too much in the relationship. Maybe she'll learn to value you later on.

What you do is you realize that actions speak louder than words, and despite your so-called friend's reassurances, the friendship is really over.
