I don't really think they're that scary, but they're definitly not funny. I think they're incredibly stupid to be honest. I like people who think they're scary (because they are in a way), but I can't stand those annoying dumb people who think they're funny, because they're not.

Depends. I've seen some funny clowns and I've seen some downright creepy/scary clowns. I think it depends on the personality and makeup that the person in the clown suit uses.

I like clowns and they don't scare me.
My wife and her sister hate clowns and they are both scared by clowns.
There are two votes for scary and one for not scary.
By the way, if you guys haven't seen this movie, get a copy of "Killer Klowns from Outer Space". If you like cult type movies and you are scared of clowns, this movie will "entertain" you.

they are loopy. I advise, frightening. I have never been fond of clowns. I think they are creepy. and, yes, they scare the beejabbers (a cousin to bejesus) our fo me, too.

depends. with bloodshot eyes and liver spots -scary. with a great big smile and a large round nose -friendly. i've never really thought of clowns as funny.

It depends on the clown costume. I never liked the clowns from the TV movie, Stephen King's "It".

I've never understood that fear. Clowns are just plain silly to me, nothing to freak out over (unless there's a John Wayne Gaysee(?) copy-cat killer. oooooooo, scary.)

i have a freind that is the same way and he is 40 ,i think the reasoning behind it are the movies like poltergeist and "It" by Stephen King,i dont find them funny or scary
