Country code is 1. Check your phone book. So it would be country code + area code+ ph number

I beleive you are right on both things you want confirmed. Although the 00 to dial out may be different depending on the country the call is originating from.

the international dial-out is usually 00. The country code for the US is indeed 1

The USA country code is 1
You have it right, except what you need to dial from another country before entering the country code, I don't know.

Here in the USA one dials 011 - country code - area code - phone number.

The area code in other countries often has a leading Zero, which has to be left out when placing a call from abroad.

"00+1+area code + number "

is correct for most countries. I can't say for all, but of those I know, that is correct.
