This sound occurs when you accelerate usually ... someone told me it was a Chrome Tip, but I think those are just for looks! Help!

Usually that's what happens when people like to annoy other people in the neighborhood, and put a really wide tailpipe and Flomaster muffler on their truck. It's best at 12:30 in the morning, when YOU are just getting home and the neighbors are all trying to sleep... PPFFTTT!

Put in a different air intake system. Also, there is an airbox silencer that can be removed which will create a loud wooshing sound when you get on the throttle.

different mufflers will do the trick ,lets say flowmaster three chamber type,If you want it so loud you cant here the radio just put two chamber flow masters.dont get rid of you cat converter or oxygen sensors cause they will cause your fuel managemet to be off and your car will no longer pas emmision testing.go see your exhaust shop in town,they will be able to help you out.they may even have something louder.

Depends, some might be a diesel or heavy duty V8. Add some Cherry Bomb glasspacks, these will make it sound alot better.
