Once I was going through the drive trhu at a Taco Bell, I waited about 10 minutes to get up to the little box that you give your order into. This drive thru had a little curb that separated the drive thru area from the rest of the parking lot, so once you were in, you had to go all the way through. Only when I got up to the box did they have a sign posted that said "no credit cards, our machine is down" So I had to sit for another 20 minutes in line to not get any food because there was no way out of line. If they had just posted that sign at the front of the drive thru area, I would have never gotten in line.
Grrrrrr...

I was in drive-through at a local McDonalds and it took 45 minutes, and I was trapped with a car in front and behind and in a way where I couldn't pull out and leave. At first people honked and then we just got out of our cars and had some fun with it, talking to each other and teasing the poor stressed workers on the other side of the windows. The un-funny thing is, the line was so long it blocked cars on the through street. The other un-funny thing is, this is a legendary unorganized McDonalds, and I knew that, so I was mad at myself for giving them another chance!!!

McDs waited 20 min to get to the box and 20 to move from the box to window just to find out we didn't even have an order in so, we just left and went to Wendys where it took less then 10 min for ordering and to get food. This was all during the "lunch rush".

I work at El Pollo Loco I had cars wait 25 minutes or more last Christmas EVE, because the dumb cooks did not prepare enough chicken. So I gave people chicken breasts for one dollar, when they normally sell for 1.99 plus tax. Drive- Thurs are unorganized to begin with, and they are over rated.

Ha ha! Yeah, it actually took my husband & I 30 minutes to get breakfast at McDonald's once! How hard is it to microwave a sausage sandwich, for pete's sake!? By the time we got out of the drive-thru line, they weren't serving breakfast anymore!

I don't know if anyone has a Steak and Shake in their town. They are hands down the slowest place in the world. Inside or drive through.
