Go to Help (F1) in Excel and look for how to do a chart. Write up is excellent and easy to follow. Then you'll probably use the Chart Wizard once you read how to do it. The Formula for making a chart? You have to create a page that represents your data.

first of all you need to make clear what chart do you want to make? is it bar?or line?
to create a chart just simply drag the data input ( in this case could be the array of number, or some from table) and right click unto it, and choose insert graphic or sumthin.. dont really remember.. but you'll get it!

any way... to make a formula just begin with '='
for example to make a simple mathematical operation just write in the box which has a formula sign , or simply press F2 and write:
= A1+ A2

which A1 and A2 are the column A row 1 and two. you must put in mind that A1 and A2 are like variable, if you change its value , you dont need to change your formula. in excel there are command list for the formula in help section!

well u need to give more details.if u go to data button at top and open this up you will see table come down in menu. select this to draw chart.

generally to add stuff you click in cell where you want total to go.u type =SUM(cellno+cellno) in the cell etc with as many + etc as u want.this will add them. u can do - and x and divide. its way too complex to go into all detail. use the help on excel. its again a button at top. u can search areas ur having problems with using key words. good luck.sorry i cant help more but i could be here 2 days and i have early start!! ;)

Put your information in a column on the left... ie for the ages of a group of people;
24
13
26
76
45 etc etc

Then in the column next to the first figure type your formula.
Most formulae start with =, then you put the formula in brackets, using the references of the squares (known as cells).

So for instance =(A1+B1+C1).
If you want the same formula repeated, you 'copy' a cell using your mouse, then paste it into the other cells you want that formula worked on.

When you have all your figures ready, click on the coloured icon at the top called Chart Wizard. (If you hover your mouse on it, the name will appear.)
Choose your type of chart, then click and drag over your figures to select the area of figures you want to appear in the chart.

Microsoft has a tutorial that teaches you how to use it. Just type the word "tutorial" into the help box on Excel.
