I have a friend who has the cherry set, and it looks fine. They have to abide by very strict laws and guidelines when manufacturing baby furniture, so they cannot sell anything that is sub-standard in the U.S.A. It is a little bit of a pain to put everything together, but it's worth saving hundreds of dollars. Besides, pretty soon you'll be spending at least $15/week on diapers...save money where you can!

I've seen that, and it looks fine to me. I don't think you really should overspend on baby furniture, since you'll only be using it for two or three years. Little kids and babies aren't as brutal on furniture as older kids and adults. We used a particle board dining room sideboard table-china chest we got for $30 at Target for a dresser/changing table, and it worked fine. If they had had a "nursery in a box" like this one 3 years ago, I would have gotten it.

www.epinions.com is helpful, dont' worry about it being too cheap, all the bells and whistles of the more expensive ones are unnecessary. stores know that women go overboard buying for thier first kids and they take advantage of it. u have the right idea of going inexpensive, save that money for the kid later on
