Dayummm. there's 2 things that shouldn't be allowed in this world.
1 Charles Manson saying "you're daughter is cute" &
2 someone named tinkerbell telling you there's frost on the pumpkins. I won't be right for the rest of the day now, lol.

it frosted.
Halloween has come and gone.
the weeds rule your garden.
the deer used it as a buffet.
you've given everyone you know so many vegetables they hide from you.
your wife/husband complains about the garden looking ragged.
the scarecrow has left in the middle of the night.
you can't tell if it's a garden or a vacant lot.
you don't go and check what's ripe every day.

You know, that is a good question! What about people who don't grow tomatoes?!

The growing season is measured from the last killing frost in the spring to the first killing frost in the fall. .

Actually plants have their own growing season and don't rely on temperature. Have you noticed trees will only put on new vegetative growth for a few weeks and then stop? They haven't lost their leaves but yet they are not growing. (they are tending to other metabolic jobs). Semi tropicals may be harmed at temperatures just below 40 but still above frost. Then again many plants cease growing when temperatures get too hot.
