If the objective is to have some sort of "last fling" involving strippers or hookers, or other debauchery, then I think it's just plain stupid and insensitive. And furthermore, I think "friends" who try to the the groom or bride to do embarrassing or compromising things during the party are not really friends at all. They should be protect their friends -- not trying to get to do things that might damage the marriage before it even starts.
If I ever get married again, I want a nice weekend fishing/hiking/beach/whatever trip to spend time with my friends, my close relatives, my bride, her close relatives, and her friends. We'll all figure out how to get along and be friends.

I just got married in June and had my bachelorette party a few weeks before. My sister got a stripper for the party, even though I didn't want one, but it was just for fun, nothing dirty.
It's ok to have fun, and if you're comfortable with it, have a stripper, but it shouldn't get out of hand. There shouldn't be any innappropriate behavior, because that's something that will ruin the marriage. This goes for the guys and the girls! It's not ok to do something at the bachelor/bachelorette party that will compromise the relationship and marriage.

I have nothing against "sowing the wild oats", and have done it myself; however, I stopped it once I met the person I wanted to marry, and I would expect the absolute same from him. I wouldn't condemn anyone for following the "bachelor party" tradition - however, it would be out of the question for me or my husband. If a person even has a need for this kind of thing - it's ok, but he can go do it on his own time, while I look for someone who is truly ready for committment.

Did you say "soil" their oats? God dang that made me laugh. What's the person supposed to do, take a dump on the other person's lap? The word you were looking for is "sow". Chicks get just as bad or worse as the men do. I personally am happy with my girl so when we get married I don't plan on "sowing any oats", but hers. Good Luck!

My party was just going for a few drinks at a bar. Same with my husbands. No strippers or anything. YOUR NOT SINGLE!!! just because you arent married (not talking about you in particular...but just people in general) doesnt mean you ca ndo whatever you want. Would any guy or girl want to know his/her soon to be spouse got freaky with another person the night before the wedding? I dont think so...and because neither my husband or I believe in the need to see a stripper when we have eachother, we didnt bother. Like he say..."why pay to see what I can touch for free at home."

You said it yourself..its just all in the movies. How can you even think of cheating right before you get married. Its one thing to cheat after a few years of marrige, but when your still single..Just kidding..I think that people behave in this manor are scorned and it really isnt acceptable at all and goes against the bible

Bachelor/Bachelorette party is not an excuse to cheat...having fun is one thing but "getting one in for the last time" is just not excusable (it's still cheating)....however if you are going to cheat it's best to do before the wedding not after!

My bachlorette party was fun! We went to a gay restaurant where they did female impersonations of celebrities and we had a ball...I love my husband and I feel as though I did not have to soil anything!

If that's the bare sort of entertainment i could bypass. not that I definitely have some thing against that yet i'm in basic terms too shy to get butt bare in front of a crowd. no rely if it extremely is a totally dressed "concentrated visitor visual attraction", count selection me in!

it is only fantasy if you believe that you make it at your bachelor party before you marry.
Most people just are so relieved that they will finally be getting laid on a regular basis and want to celebrate that instead.
