Volume has several sets of units. It depends on which unit system you are using, and whether you are speaking of solid or liquid volume.
For solids, the units are cubic something.
Cubic inches, cubic feet, cubic centimeters, cubic meters etc.
In the metric system, liquids are measured in liters or milliliters.
In the English system it is ounces, quarts or gallons.
In the English system, volume and liquid volume are for all intents and purposes "unrelated", whereas in the metric system
one cc of volume is one ml of liquid. And mass is also related in that 1 cc of water has a mass of 1 gram.
