That depends on if the stalker is male/female, do you know the person or is it a stranger. You left out a lot of info.
If it's a guy whether you know him or not, it's not good.
Stalking in general I think shows, at the very least, an unhealthy way of viewing things on the part of the stalker.
So if the person is already unhealthy mentally, there is a chance that person could be even more mentally unhealthy and act on whatever is causing them to stalk in the first place. It could turn into violence, yes.
You mentioned your mother? It's not considered 'stalking' if you're a teenager in her house and she is making it her business to know what you're up to at times. That's called being a parent - not a stalker. If it creeps you out, and you don't think it has to do with her keeping you protected - than she may be sick mentally.
I can't give advice without more info than what you gave.

Usually stalkers have a reason for stalking you. In most cases it is obsession. If it is a stranger stalking you then yes I would worry. Unfortunately the police cannot do anything until there is a threat or actual physical violence involved.
If it is someone you know then you really need to find out why they are stalking you. Who knows what their reasons would be unless you have done something to them to upset them.

They are harmless stalkers right up until the point where they hurt you.
If you notice a stalker, notify they authorities and defend yourself aggressively. Don't be afraid to take their life for the threat they pose; it is the only one you have.

it usually sth just followin, a simple little obsession, harmless at first. but then it escalates past just watching, they want to either inflict physical harm on you, or they fall in "love" with you. you need to alert the authorities of this ASAP. The BTK killer started out by just stalking people, and look how that ended up.

It all depends on the individual stalker. Do you know her? If so, did you anger her in the past? Either way...you need to be careful. Even the ones that "just watch" are dangerous. They can do damage in other areas, e.g. blackmailing to get something they want, in this case, something from you. And yes, some of them that are "just watchers" do become violent.

So far today your mother has tried to have you murdered, your employer is against you, you have stalkers following you everywhere ... AND they are trying to rob your store.
Honestly, you need to see a doctor.

I think it depends on the person who is stalking you. The really messed up stalkers might want to hurt u while just obssed stalkers might want to admire you from a far, but honestly i can not say, u'll have to ask a stalker
