The stove that came with my recently purchased house won't work. The broiler and oven work just fine. But none of the burners work. There is no clicking sound, no gas smells, nothing.

I could tell you what to check but to be honest only take pro advise you could do something that by-passes a safety aspect,
get it checked asap more for your own safety!!!

Does it have a fold down lid over the burners? If so unless this is opened fully it shuts off the gas supply to them

I would say it's broken...buy a new one and throw the old one down a whole bunch of stairs to take out your frustration with it. is it plugged in?

check the pilot lights.
