Scrapbooking is my favorite. There are so many reasons why - the finished product shows my personality, it is a way to recapture memories, it makes terrific gifts for friends and family, crops allow you to meet lots of people, it is something you can do alone or with others, you can do it at your own pace, you can do it when your schedule allows (ever go bowling at 2 a.m.?), you can do it on any range of budgets, etc....

Stamp collecting! You learn a lot of really interesting things from stamps, and the people you meet are awesome. I've met a TV actor, a professional athlete, a radio announcer, more doctors and teachers than you can imagine, a retired executive of the World Bank, an ex-ambassador, and even a retired spy!

For lots of info on this extremely under-rated hobby, go to http://www.stamps.org or http://www.virtualstampclub.com .

Genealogy. Finding out more about where your family came from can be fascinating and you may find living relatives you never knew you had. The best discovery would be finding out you are related to a famous person in history.

Fishing, watersking, sailing, surfing, kite surfing, windsurfing, hiking, biking, skydiving, skateboarding, all sports. Flying remote controlled airplanes, rebuilding cars, carpentry, inventing new things. This of course has been a slow week, I will let you know what happens next week.

If you like the outdoors, you might like to try Geocaching. it is where you use a hand held GPS to find places that you did not know were there. and most have items that you can trade from one cache to another.

I make jewelry. Not just the beaded stuff--I'm taking classes in metalsmithing. I get to play with fire a lot.

Good question! I can't think of anything more interesting... maybe eating, sleeping, TV shows, more eating, um mm sending/receiving emails. I guess I've gotten into the internet too much for a real life either.
