Sprains can be anywhere from 4 weeks to several months- definitely go to a clinic and have it checked out... Sprains can take longer to heal than breaks because ligaments and tendons may have gotten stretched...

That depends on several things are you elevating it up when you are not on your feet. Are you keeping ice on it 30 Min's on and 30
minutes off or at least on 3-5 times daily. The stores have this
sleeve type thing you pull up on your knee there are about 3-4 different kinds depending on the stores. Good Luck on your healing time. By the way I injured my left knee about 12 years ago and it still bothers me sometimes. So it depends on how much you hurt it. If it is still giving you problems go see a doctor.

Sprains actually sometimes don't heal. They definitely take longer than a break to heal. It just depends on how bad the sprain is. My brother sprained his foot when he was 17, and still has to buy 2 sizes of shoes, cuz both of his feet are different sizes.
I've busted plenty of bones, but never sprained, thank goodness.

Sprains and strains take longer to heal than a break. for example, because there is less blood flow to the cartilage and tendons. I hyper-extended my knee about 3 years ago, and it still isn't right! Good luck!

It takes two weeks at best, and then it will be subject to acting up every now and then for months or years. If I were you I would go to a chiropractor and have it adjusted as well as whatever the medical doctor says; you'll have less trouble in the long run.

It can take months to heal properly. Why haven't you seen a doc about it? If you don't you risk permanent damage to your knee that you won't notice until your late 20's.

It will take a couple of weeks for it to completely heal. If you want to hal it faster you can try ice, warm bath, and a brace.

It depends on the severity. Just give it time. One week isn't enough.
