I can totally relate, my mother used to dress me like a boy too and she used to cut my hair VERY short like a boy. My hairdo was exactly like one of the Beetles except my bangs were shorter, my folks used to call me FOHEAD because you could see most of my forehead because they were so short.

no...although, looking back at the pictures...the clothes were ugly....but I guess back then that was the style.
