ok uglies, pretties, and specials are the all time best books i have read Westerfeld just has this special way with his writting that i love, he really makes u think. Have u every thought though about what happened in the uglies series could eventually become our future, and for people who are reading this and haven't read "uglies" by scott westerfeld needs to. Awsome books. but anyway think about it if u look around, peopl can take pictures of themselves and edit them to the way they want to look, since we already have the dream of wanting to look diffrent , and since we already have the thought of what perfection should look like, maybe sometime in the far future wew will all have a majore surgury. What do you think about this. and would you want to have a surgery makeing u perfect to soceitys eyes? and for those people who read the book would you like to go through tht surgery and get what comes along with it a messed up brain. What type of comsmetic surgery would u have?

The Uglies trilogy is great. They're near the top of my list of favorites as well. While I think this is an appearance/perfection obsessed society, to some extent, with plastic surgery being considered by young people as well as older people...I think the book is more about having one's mind manipulated than one's body. But it is an interesting book. No, I would not want surgery. I'd definitely rather be 'ugly' for life and keep my brain!

I absolutely loved the series! It doesn't have vampires in it though. Scott Westerfeld wrote it amazingly, and it's one of the first sci-fi books that I've read and actually enjoyed, because it was about the future, not one of those weird "invasion of the aliens" books. Personally, I thought it got good really quickly, within the first 40 pages, I'd say. I really hope that you read it, at least give it a try. If you don't like it, then just don't finish the series. Happy reading! :)

No I wouldn't want to have surgery to be prefect for everyone but if I was raised in a place like that I would want to have hair sugery and prevent wrinkles. I like the way I am and I really don't want a messed up brain or something horrid happen like that happen to me.
