My mother and brother were both born in January....and it's got New Year's Day - the beginning of a new year; a fresh start started off with a party!!

My birthday's in January, so that makes it a special month for me. Honestly, though, if it wasn't for my birthday I would think that January is the longest, most godawful month in the entire year because I hate cold weather and it's always sort of a letdown after the holidays to go back to work and plod along for the rest of the long, dark winter. In fact, I read this thing last year that said that, statistically speaking, January 23 is the most depressing day of the year, and my birthday is the day after that, so there you go. (I'm surprisingly upbeat, in spite of the depressing birthdate.)
