As a Seattle baseball fan (who haven't had a team since Lou left), yes. He's a lot of fun, he knows baseball, his players both like & respect him, and he knows how to win.
Now, can turn the Cubs around? That's a big task.
Here's one for you. Why do Cub players always seem to get serious injuries? I've never understood that. It ain't the goat.

Sorry man... I don't see how Lou is going to help bring back the blown out arms on the Cubs pitching staff.
Plus, if you look at his lack of success in Tampa Bay... he does not seem to communicate well with nor inspire young ball players.
I am slightly baffled that the Cubs did not go with Joe Girardi. That one seemed to be a perfect match.

Pinella will light a fire but hopefully with the right players. If he gets his attitude with the DLee's and A-ram's, not only will his time be short, but Hendry's as well as the cubs fans....

They need sober fans, who wont go to the games and fill the park.Tribune may then get serious and field a team.Showing up to root for a disgusting team will never win a championship.Keep the money out of the owners hands will certainly help to get back on track. South side fans are certainly baseball smarter.

It is very possible.
If Jim Leyland can turn around The Detroit Tigers
Surely Lou can work wonders with The Cubs.

Yes, it certainly doesn't hurt. The Yankee loss is the Cubs gain.
