Make sure the water isn't much over your normal body temp and you'll be fine. I soaked in a hot tub on a regular basis during my pregnancies to relieve aches and pains, but kept the temp set to no higher than 99 degrees. CONGRATULATIONS!!

It is true! You should avoid all hot tubs, hot pools, steam rooms, sauna's, even extremly hot baths or showers. All of those things can raise your body temp quickly and too high for pregnancy. Any temp over 102 can be very very dangerous to the fetus. Also, when your body temp raises so quickly it also forces your blood pressure up, which is again, very dangerous to have the sudden rise during pregnancy. If you are not satisfied with the answers, call your doctor.

No way. I'm sorry to tell you that from all I've heard being in a hot springs whilst pregnant is not good for the baby.
Reasons: certain infectious diseases, like staph, hepatitis, and others can thrive in hot springs. Although the water seems too hot for bacterias to live, that's not the case. water has got to be BOILING to kill certain things, and I know you aren't going to dip into boiling hot water. if you were to contract a disease, it could affect baby's health.
2: Hot tubs and springs cause people's blood pressure to rise and put stress on the heart. Since your body is already stressed by creating a baby, you do not want to create more stress or cause your blood pressure to rise quickly. The change in pressure of your body could hurt baby too.

They are very right, but not because you can boil your baby. Your body temperature goes up when you are in a hot tub, hot spring, etc. Even a temperature when you are SICK can cause serious developmental problems with your child while they are in the womb.
You can stick your feet in the water, but only for a VERY short period of time. Do not allow your body temperature to raise a significant amount.

Your baby is already a few degrees warmer than your own body, and baby can't regulate its body temperature like we can, so yes, hot springs/hot tubs, even too-warm bath water is dangerous to your child. If you're set on the vacation, go, but stay out of the water.

You cannot go into hot tubs or extremely hot baths because sitting in the hot water is dangerous for the baby, they can't handle the heat. You should really call your doctor's office and they can tell you a yes or no on certain activities.

I too worried about this before I knew I was pregnant I had spent an entire weekend in a hot tub, my doc told me that as long as the water temp was not over 105 I should have nothing to worry about I am now 8 months pregnant and baby is doing just fine, but talk to your provider they all say something different.

This is true. As a previous nursing student and native of Hot Springs Arkansas it is very dangerous for the amniotic sac to reach such levels as that of a hot bath or spa.

You are not supposed to get into any water over 99 degree's while pregnant. I would ask your doctor just to make sure. A trip is not worth all of the possible heart ache it could cause a family.

Yep - i've got been warm this finished being pregnant. Even at 8 weeks pregnant, if I have been given too warm, i could sense sicker with my all-day ailment, so continually felt greater desirable with a lot of chilly aircon. At 37+ weeks, i'm lower back to feeling sick interior the sunlight, and sick in any style of heat. i'm making my husband freeze in our domicile on the same time as i'm somewhat wearing any outfits because of being so warm.
