sounds like a growth spurt, as long as he's happy and healthy I wouldn't worry. Let him decide when he's full though, bottle feeding moms tend to try to get baby to finish the bottle rather than waste formula - breast-feeding moms know that baby will quit when they are full

I have a 12 week old and when she was about 7 weeks I called her pediatricians office and spoke to a nurse to ask how much she should be eating. She told me that she should be eating 4-5 ounces at each feeding and a total of 25-30 ounces a day. I called their office about a week ago, when my daughter was 11 weeks old to ask about how much she should be eating and the nurse that I spoke to that time told me that 24 ounces should be PLENTY. This didn't make much sense to me, so I don't know what to tell you.

I have a 3 year old daughter and it's hard for me to remember how many ounces but I do know that the formula might not be enough, I would check with your baby's doctor and see if it would be alright if you put a little oatmeal in it's bottle that way it might fill your child up for a little while longer and help its belly settle also. Good Luck and Congratulations.

my first son ate every 3 hrs. and ate 2-3 ounces. my second ate every 3-4 hrs and ate 4-6 ounces. and my third eats every 5 hours and eats 4 ounces. at that age it just depends on the baby. i had to put a teaspoon of cereal in the bottle with my second cause he was eating so much. but it just depends on the child

When you're breastfeeding it's totally normal for a newborn to want to eat like every hour(both of mine did). When you're bottle-feeding they say they normally eat 4 ounces for every pound they weigh over a 24 hour period(with the exception of premies). If your baby eats more don't worry about it, it'll just be rolly polly and happy!
