West Derby is nice, Woolton, Allerton, Aigbuth. There are quite a few nice places in Liverpool. The advice you were given about Anfield, it's true never used to be like that but unfortunately it is now. Still some lovely people having to live there. If you are buying there are a lot of apartments in the city centre. Welcome to Liverpool, hope you enjoy living here, you probably will everyone else that moves here does.

1/2 an hours walking distance won't get you anywhere nice I'm afraid but if you don't mind a short bus ride you could try Childwall, Aigburth, Gateacre, Woolton or Allerton. Don't listen to these people who say is there a good part, I was born and bred in Liverpool and the people are great. There are some nice places to live, it's the same as anywhere there's good and bad everywhere - even in Cheshire.

The Wirral is overall a nicer place to live, yet only a short train ride from Liverpool City Centre..

There are no good parts of Liverpool but West Kirby is a super place and this is only half an hour from central Liverpool on the Wirral Line.

It depends on how much you have to spend on propery, the dock area is nice, but otherwise forget a 1/2 hour walk
