My 9 year old son wants an RC plane for his birthday, but I have no idea what to buy him. My main concern is durability. It is his first plane and I would hate for him to have it break his first time out. Thank you in advance.

if you wanted to get him a good plane they run on fuel so obviously it has an engine making it very powerful and dangerous you can also get electric ones good ones and crappy ones he is most likely going to crash it as they take time to master so get a cheap one or a rc car they are just as good

Unless the child is extremely responsible I would say none. The average 9 year old is not responsible enough for one.
