My boyfriend went away for 4 days to go hunting....whe he came back my son played strange with him.....my son is almost 5 months old, and i have never seen him do this before.....is this normal?

what i ment by play stange was that he cried and didn want to see him or be held by him....he did this the whole first day he came home....

I couldnt even guess as to why he acted that way, I would think 5 mths would be too young to get a fear of strangers if it was he didnt remember him. And although everyone else seems to think babies this young cant remember things I know from personal experience this isnt true with my girl. I left on vacation 10 days before my husband to visit his parents, and the second my daughter (5mths and someodd days) saw him for the first time she burst out into hysterical laughing. I mean non-stop laughing for 5 minutes, it was crazy! I started crying it was so touching. She hadnt acted like she was upset during this time, but you could see her little face light up the second she saw her dad again.
Dont worry, things will be back to normal in no time.

I am not sure what you mean by played strange... but, babies are growing and learning all the time. Maybe he is just learning more about himself and things he can do that maybe he could not do before.

A 5 mo baby has a very short memory. If he doesn't see a person at least every two days, he won't remember them...

My son does that too when I've been away for a day or so...its just their way of telling you or him that he is angry that you went away and left him. Its his was because he can't comunicate with you

id venture to say that since childeren this age have a very short term memory that he prolly cant remember him right off. give it some time itll come back.

Perhaps he smells the murder on your boyfriends clothes.
Children don't take kindly to people shooting at Bambie.
He can probably sense it.
I'd cry too if "daddy" came home covered in blood.
