HI, I'm 7.5 weeks pregnant (at least - I will find out for sure on Wed when I have a scan), and the last few days the tiredness has gotten out of control I fell asleep at work twice today, but what worrying me more is the dizzy spells I keep having. They mostly happen when I get up from sitting (which I do slowly anyway), I know this can be a sign of aneamia (sp?), but could it be anything else?

I will check with my midwife/doctor on Wednesday too.

Thanks

I had the same problem with my first pregnancy, the tiredness there is nothing to cure that but rest when you can but for the dizzy spells when you change position from sitting to standing do it slowly, it could just be your body changing with the hormones, I wish you the best of luck, and make sure to speak to your doc about it as well.

I had dizzy spells so bad the room would be spinning right around 8 weeks. My doc said it was fine. I'm 18 weeks now and still a bit dizzy from time to time.

It's actually normal in a lot of women during pregnancy to have dizzy spells. I had them alot the whole time. I was tired all the time too. My doctor always told me to listen to my body...if I was tired, then sleep! Maybe call in tomorrow and sleep in. Some women need mre rest when they are pregnant.

It could be anaemia, it could be a blood sugar problem, or it could be a blood pressure problem.
I passed out so many times during my pregnancy that I lost count, I think it was due to untreated anaemia, after I gave birth it was found that my iron level was low enough to need a transfusion.
Please make sure that you are checked and monitored- this could stop you feeling so ill!
